The Westlands Business Park is a landmark 18-storey Grade A office development situated at the heart of Nairobi's premier business district. Commissioned by Apex Property Developers, BuildCore served as the principal contractor for the full construction package — from piling and substructure to MEP, fit-out, and landscaping.
The project involved 52,000 square metres of leasable office space across four interconnected towers, a four-level basement car park accommodating 800 vehicles, and a retail podium at ground and first-floor levels.
Completed two weeks ahead of programme and within the approved KES 2.4 billion contract sum, the project won the 2024 Kenya Property Awards for Best Commercial Development.
The site presented significant geotechnical challenges, including a high water table requiring deep dewatering throughout piling operations. Our engineering team deployed a custom-designed dewatering system that protected adjacent properties while maintaining a dry excavation.
